Artis Iuvenis is Latin and translates into 'Youth Art.' This chapbook includes twenty-four stunning, high-quality gloss prints of children's artwork. All of the work was created by children in the first grade and younger, collected through various sources around Ohio. With a preface by world famous author and professor of cognition and education, Howard Gardner, from his book, Artful Scribbles: The Significance of Children's Drawings. All rights to Mr. Gardner's work have been approved by him directly for this series. The titles for the work have purposely been left out so that you can interpret them as you wish. The purpose of this BOOK is to ask questions about the significance of children's artwork AND to allow us to reflect on our current perceptions and definitions of what art is and could be.
